Jennings Hester is the founder of the nonprofit organization Fishing The Good Fight. Jennings' struggle with anxiety and depression began over 15 years ago. He didn't begin his road to recovery until over a decade later. Through this dark journey, Jennings discovered what resources were missing in the world of men's mental health and built this organization from that. Fishing The Good Fight is an organization that provides tools for men that are struggling with their mental health. Fly fishing, professional help, community building and financial support are all part of the core values that Fishing The Good Fight operates on. Doug Duren is a conservationist and land manager who calls Cazenovia, Wisconsin home. Doug is also a leader and prominent voice for the management of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in Wisconsin. In this episode Sheldon and Chase chat with Doug about how CWD was initially managed when it was discovered in Wisconsin over 20 years ago and what is happening today. This all falls on the heels of the first case of CWD found in Manitoba.

Daniel Dupont and Katrien Kingdon are PhD students studying the predator-prey dynamics of wolves and moose in eastern Manitoba. Their research uses data from GPS collars to investigate areas of wolf kill sites and the habitat selection behaviour of both species. This project aims to understand the impacts of prey health, alternate prey species, and landscape modification on predation events and wildlife movement.
